Tans-Africa Holdings Group on a journey to Sage Intacct Cloud Financials

Company Background

Tans-Africa Holdings Group is registered in South Africa, and has been in existence for just over 40 years as a commuter transport operator. Their core business offering is the provision of public bus transport services. Prior to engaging with SynergERP on a new software project, their business ran on Sage 50 Pastel Partner.

In their pursuit of becoming a paperless business and reducing system infrastructure costs, Tans-Africa Holdings Group sought a cloud-based system that would integrate with the latest technologies. They required a user-friendly and feature-rich solution that could scale with their business. One of the main objectives of implementing a new system was to enhance fluidity between business divisions through modern workflows and integrations.

Sage Intacct Moves the Business Forward

Introducing the Sage Intacct ERP to Tans-Africa Holdings Group brings several improvements to their day-to-day business activities, moving the business to the next level of performance. The access-from-anywhere feature of the new cloud solution allows employees to work remotely, liberating them from being tied to the office. Additionally, this cloud accounting software offers automatic updates and backups, providing peace of mind and freeing up IT resources.

Sage Intacct’s enhanced functionality enables simultaneous input of multiple entities, eliminating the need for individual processing. Unlike the old system, which required batch processing of 5,000 transactions at a time, Sage Intacct has no limit on transactions. The Bank Feeds in Sage Intacct securely connect to banks to deliver daily cash insights and automated transaction matching. Tans-Africa Group Holdings found this functionality greatly improved their reporting.

“I enjoy the customisation feature for reports. It offers us the creative and flexible tools needed when designing reports to meet our specific business requirements.

The project manager and consultants were exceptionally proactive and went the extra mile to address all of our concerns.”
Clinton Naidoo, Group Accountant

With Sage Intacct’s customisable reports the business was able to streamline their report creation. They said goodbye to using separate applications for reporting.

They’ve generated reports on fixed assets, leases, and investment registers to name a few.

Key Outcomes of the Sage Intacct Project:

  • A paperless environment with automated processes
  • A cloud-based solution reduced system management and maintenance costs
  • Improved flow of data between departments
  • Remote working is enabled by providing system access from anywhere, at anytime
  • Real-time reporting rather than the one-month reporting delay experienced when using Pastel
  • No limit on the number of transactions that can be handled, improving on the 5,000 transaction limit in Sage 50 Pastel Partner
  • Ability to generate multiple different reports from within a single system
